2RE 67a4cead97 Optimise all images to WebP: img/ 20 MB down to 3.2 MB 
45 images converted with cwebp (long side capped at 1600px; -q 82, or -q 90 -alpha_q 100 when transparent) and 97 references repointed across 13 HTML files. printtiresad.png stays PNG because every WebP encode of it came out larger. Verified: 0 missing references, 0 unreferenced files, all 45 WebP files decode, all 16 pages balance and serve 200, and the before/after width/height ratio-hint sets are identical. NOTE: the published site must be redeployed for the new assets to go live.

Reference Materials - 2RE03 Portfolio Site

Historical inventory of the original refrence/ source material. That folder was removed on 2026-09-10 and is backed up outside the repo at /home/torrey/2RE03-unused-assets-backup/refrence/. The filenames below are the ORIGINAL source names; the production copies now live in img/ as WebP (see techContext.md, Image Pipeline). Last updated: 2026-09-10.

refrence/index.html

  • Landing/hero styled as "2RE03" over a full-bleed portrait background (img/blue_eyes_Torrey.png) with a crimson→red gradient.
  • Contains the original tone-reference tagline (now retired): "Artisinal web design by an genuine avocado eating hipster."
  • Establishes a bold, saturated, personality-driven visual direction.

  • Bio/services page. Uses Bootstrap (bootstrap.min.css, popper.min.js, bootstrap.min.js), plus style.css and a custom series-carousel.js.
  • CEO info: Torrey Nommesen - 30+ years freelance across design, writing, web dev, photography, 3D modeling, and publishing. Art Director for Urban Moto; taught graphic design at Academy of Art University; President of YLEM; technical writer for Silicon Valley companies.
  • Section structure with captions (source for site content):
    • H2 "Freelance writing, design, and coding" + summary paragraph.
    • Logos - "Logos I have created for clients and for my projects".
    • Web Design - "Examples of some of my web and app design work".
    • Print Design - "examples of my print design work".
    • 3D Modeling - "3D modeling for client projects".
    • Written Work - "Examples of work where I designed and wrote".
  • Carousels populated from inline JSON <script type="application/json"> blocks keyed by category (logos, web, print, 3d, written).
  • Note: the bio copy is first-person ("I developed…") and about the individual. For 2RE03 the site should speak as the company and must not attribute works to a named individual.

Note: all 23 of these images were copied into the production img/ folder (2026-09-10) and are now referenced by the site. They were then converted to WebP (2026-09-10), so the .png/.jpg names above are the source names only, not the current filenames. The production img/ folder also contains 6 additional site-*.jpg screenshots of real client websites added later (not from refrence/); those are WebP too.
